HEALTH - In any given year, 1 in 5 Canadians will experience some form of mental health problem or illness; regardless of their age, gender, religion or race. The Calgary branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association is mandated to "create awareness, provide promotion and education, and support and advocate for individuals and families living with mental illness and addictions". Their programs include: Independent Living Support, Continuing Connections Program, Advocacy, Supportive Living, Peer Options, Leisure and Recreation, Workplace Mental Health, Suicide Bereavement, Post Discharge Transition, Street Outreach and Stabilization, and a Family Support Program.

DISABILITIES - The Calgary Cerebral Palsy Association has been providing support, resources, programs, and opportunities for individuals and families affected by cerebral palsy since 1956. Some of their programs and services include: an adapted bike program, funding request program, summer camp subsidy, adaptive equipment classifieds, and wheelchair accessible home renovation tour.
